Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 22, 2026
OutThere Bingo is a real-world bingo app for private games, outings, events, and travel. This policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and the choices available to players.
Information the app may collect
- Gameplay information: selected packs, bingo cards, marked squares, game progress, room codes, player nicknames, host/player status, and recap information needed to run the game.
- Optional photos: if you choose to attach or capture photos for memories or room proof, the app may request camera or photo-library access. Photos are optional and should not be used to harass, identify, or shame strangers.
- App diagnostics: App version 1.0.1 uses Sentry for limited JavaScript errors and scanner diagnostics and for native crash, hang/watchdog, ANR and release-health reporting. Reports may contain event time, app version/build, error or crash category, restricted stack and symbol metadata, device model/family, operating-system version/build and runtime version. The app is configured to remove user and request details, original error text, arbitrary logs and extras, screenshots and view hierarchies before sending. Performance tracing, profiling and session replay are disabled. Earlier app versions may have sent additional technical diagnostic information.
- Product analytics: We use PostHog to understand app use and improve features. Events may describe app opens and screens, onboarding, feature and gameplay milestones, limited counts, reliability outcomes, and purchase or restore outcomes. PostHog associates events over time using pseudonymous app-install and session identifiers and may receive app/build, device model, operating-system, language, time-zone and screen information. Version 1.0.1 custom event fields are designed to exclude player names, room codes and IDs, search text, photos and photo paths, receipts and raw provider-error text. Session replay and automatic touch capture are disabled. Current events disable GeoIP and the project is configured to discard client IP at ingestion; older retained analytics records may include client IP addresses.
- Purchase information: if paid packs, subscriptions, or other purchases are enabled, the app stores and app-payment providers may process purchase status, product identifiers, and entitlement information.
- Support messages: if you contact support, we receive the contact information and details you choose to include.
- Website logs: hosting providers may process ordinary request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and request time to operate and secure the website.
- Website analytics: this website uses Google Analytics for page views and limited events, including confirmed arrival on the game-updates thank-you page, clicks to email support, and clicks to the Apple App Store or Google Play. A store click records only the selected store and a fixed page-placement label; it measures outbound intent, not an install, purchase, or completed conversion. Google may process device and browser details, approximate location derived from IP address, and referral information. We use this to measure website performance and product interest.
Website analytics are separate from in-app product analytics. Analytics is disabled on private room-invite and missing-page routes. Public pages remove URL query parameters and fragments before analytics starts and send only fixed canonical page names. If a campaign link contains strictly validated UTM fields, its lowercase campaign labels may be sent for attribution; other query values are discarded. We do not intentionally send email addresses, names, room codes, form contents, support-message text, photos, gameplay content, or other sensitive app content to Google Analytics.
How information is used
- To provide core gameplay: packs, cards, private rooms, marked squares, proof photos, and recaps.
- To operate, debug, secure, and improve the app and website.
- To respond to support requests.
- To manage purchases and restore entitlements if paid features are enabled.
- To comply with app-store, legal, safety, and anti-abuse requirements.
Sharing and third-party services
OutThere Bingo may use service providers for hosting, app distribution, crash reporting, analytics, payments, database services, and support. These providers process information only as needed to provide those services. We do not sell personal information. Current providers:
- Supabase — database and private photo storage for multiplayer rooms (room codes, nicknames, cards, progress, room proof photos).
- Sentry — limited JavaScript and native reliability diagnostics as described above.
- PostHog — in-app usage and reliability analytics, including pseudonymous app-install/session identifiers and limited app/device metadata.
- Apple App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat — purchase status, product identifiers, pseudonymous or authenticated app-user identifiers, and entitlements used to buy, restore and provide paid access.
- Netlify and Google Analytics — website hosting and website usage statistics (website only, not in-app).
Room data retention
- Multiplayer rooms expire 24 hours after they are created.
- Expired room data — nicknames, cards, progress, and room proof photos — is automatically deleted from our systems within about 3 days of expiry.
- Proof photos that a player removes, a host removes, or another player reports are hidden immediately and permanently deleted within about 7 days.
- Saved solo games and local photo memories remain on your device unless you choose to share them or submit a photo as room proof. Limited usage events and counts about solo play may be sent to PostHog; those events are designed not to contain photos or marked-square text.
Room proof photos
When a room host turns on photo proof, photos a player chooses to submit are stored privately and are visible only to players in that room while it is active. Any player can report a photo in the app (it is hidden for everyone immediately), and the room host can remove any photo. Proof photos are never public and are deleted on the schedule above.
What OutThere Bingo is not
- OutThere Bingo is not a casino, betting, lottery, or real-money gambling product.
- The app does not require public posting to play private games.
- The app is intended for respectful, observational play — not harassment, stalking, or identifying strangers.
Photos and respectful play
Photo features are optional. Players should follow local rules, venue policies, and common sense before taking or sharing photos. Do not photograph people where privacy is expected. Do not use the app to shame, target, or harass anyone.
Children and groups
OutThere Bingo is intended for people aged 13 and older, consistent with our Terms and Safety Rules. Some packs are marked for adults (21+). If a parent, guardian, school, team, business, or event organizer uses the app with minors, they are responsible for choosing appropriate packs and supervising use.
Your choices
- You can choose not to grant camera or photo-library access.
- You can contact support to request help, correction, or deletion of information associated with your support request or app use where technically available.
- Uninstalling stops future collection from that installation but does not itself delete records already held by service providers. Contact support for a data request. Locating pseudonymous analytics or diagnostics records may require additional information. Analytics and diagnostic records are retained according to the applicable project settings and provider processes; we do not promise a fixed period here.
